Lumberjack Birthday Table
Yes, yes, I know he is only one. And he doesn't even know what a 'birthday' is. But my favorite thing to do is be creative. I looove it. And I just love him so dang much I couldn't help but get excited about his first birthday! It was only immediate family, not a big ordeal- mom, dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Such a good time though, Jack really loves his family (They give him so much love and attention, I mean what baby wouldn't love that?)

In the small metal (camping) bowls are teddy grahams and pretzels. Jack loved the pretzels (his first time having one). And I definitely saw my dad sneaking some teddy grahams before dinner haha.
Make no mistake, I DO NOT LIKE TO BAKE. But I like to face a creative challenge. And this definitely was one. A lot of prayers were said while baking this cake haha. (seriously though)
Oh, hey there little lumberjack! Happy Birthday!
For the cake, I just made two batches of chocolate cake, sliced the round tops off, and stacked them (with the frosting in between each layer) but for the 'bark' I followed the directions given on this:
the recipe for this cake looked 10x yummier than just the plain chocolate cake I made, but like I said, I do not like to bake. And this looked a little too complicated for me haha. Here is the link to this recipe: http://www.sugarhero.com/wild-things-birthday-cake/
She used chocolate candy coating for the bark, but I used chocolate almond bark (ha) (I like the taste of it) They both look the same, so you can use whichever you like best.
After everything was all finished, i sprinkled Oreo crumbs along the top to look like dirt.
Ta da! Tree stump cake!
